Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene plate is a kind of optimal system performance engineering plastics, such as high abrasion resistance, impact resistance, low friction coefficient, good self-lubricating properties, good low temperature resistance, resistance to chemical corrosion, etc.


Polyethylene plate:

High wear resistance. One of the most striking properties of high molecular weight polyethylene is that it is extremely resistant to abrasion, a performance that is invaluable in many engineering applications. In all plastics, its wearability is the best, and even many metal materials (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, etc.) are not as abrasive as it is. As the molecular weight of polyethylene increases, the material becomes more and more durable.


Extremely high impact resistance. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene impact strength and its molecular weight, molecular weight is less than 2 million, with the molecular weight, the impact strength increased, reached a peak around 2 million, after the peak, the molecular weight and higher impact strength decreased. This is because the molecular chain interferes with its light-crystal effect, allowing large, amorphous areas in large molecules to absorb larger shocks.

 

Low friction coefficient. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is very wear-resistant, and the friction coefficient is low, self-lubricating is good, and that is an ideal bearing sleeve, slide block, lining material.
